Still we think that the desert is always a place for sun, sand and wind, but also for a beautiful hike alone or in group on the backs of camels to memorize and collect beautiful memories and feelings. a hike in the desert, this is completely a hike feeling first.
A visit to the Sahara desert is definitely an experience everyone should have at least once in their lifetime. It is a journey well worth the effort and you will have fond memories to last you forever. Imagine yourself on top a camel, trekking through the Sahara desert. There is nothing around you and all you can hear are the footsteps of the camel on the soft sand. The sky is vast and clear in the day and filled with millions of bright stars at night. It is a very peaceful experience, one raley known to most of the Western World.
The trek takes you through the craggy Jebel Bani for four days, and then after a rest at the dunes of Chagaga, your route crosses the Draa River and loops round through the dunes to finish at a delightful ‘auberge’ near the small town of M’Hamid.
An experienced and qualified guide and his staff, drawn from the local population and trained locally, will supervise your trek. As with all of the treks offered by our company if you would like to alter any of the itineraries. Do not hesitate to contact us if you have any questions.
DETAILS ITINERARY
DAY1 : MARRAKECH
Arrived at Marrakech or Ouarzazate – Reception by our staff, Hotel. Overnight at the Riad.
DAY2 : MARRAKECH – COL TICHKA (2260 M) – OUARZAZATE – AGDEZ – VALL
After breakfast, transfer towards Ouarzazate via Tizi n’Tichka pass 2260m, visite of the famous kasbah og Galoui, continue by Agdez and Zagora then finely Faija, where camp is ready. Overnight at the camp BLD.distance : 400 kms
DAY3 : PLATEAU FAIJA – JBEL BANI – COL OUM LAACHAR – OUED LEMHASSER
After breakfast, start walking by the desertic plateau and some firms in the fot of djebel bani, the famous pass Oum Laachar will take you to Oued Lemhasser. Overnight at the camp BLD.5H30 walking / 17 kms
DAY4 : OUED LEMHASSER – DUNES CHEGAGA – CAMP IN THE FOOT OF DUNES
We leave from oued Lemhasser towards the beautiful dunes of Chegag, spend a night between the dunes. Overnight at the camp BLD.5H30 walking / 20 kms
DAY5 : DUNES DAIT CHEGAGA – DUNES BOUGARN – CAMP
Walking on the heart of the desert, we leave dunes chegaga heading to another nice place, dunes Bougern, night on the camp. Overnight at the camp BLD.5H walking/ 16 kms
DAY6 : DUNES BOUGARN – DUNES OUED NAAM – CAMP
After breakfast, leaving dunes Bougern and cross Oued Naam, we camp just nearby. Overnight at the camp BLD.5H30 walking / 16 kms
DAY7 : OUED NAAM – DUNES MHAMID – ZAGORA – MARRAKECH– HOTEL
Last day on the beautiful landscape, return to Zagora via dunes Mhamid, and finelly transfer back to Marrakech. Overnight at the camp BL. 3H walking / 8H of transport to Marrakech
DAY8 : TRANSFERT TO AEROPORT, END OF OUR SERVICES.
After breakfast, transfer to the airport & flight home.B.
